Blue orange tree
Today, I wrote a poem inspired by these emotions. I dedicate it to you, Ana Cecilia. Happy birthday!

Sunlight filters through the window, and I am filled with gratitude. Everything looks beautiful. Winter has finally left the Blue Orange Tree, and the first rays of the sun signal a new beginning. Swallows sing, hummingbirds hover over the aloe, and my body no longer wishes to remain asleep—it longs to embrace nature, to be part of its rhythm.
Today is Ana Cecilia’s birthday, and from afar, I send her a warm hug. In my heart, I imagine her sitting beside me, both of us enjoying the first light of day. Oralia, my mother, remembers her name and gently says, Happy birthday, my daughter.

The Blue Orange Tree
By Adriana Rodríguez
Golden rays of sunlight gently stream,
Through the window, casting a dream.
Winter has lifted its quiet embrace,
The Blue Orange Tree stands in grace.
Swallows sing, their melodies bright,
Hummingbirds dance in morning light.
My body stirs, no longer confined,
Longing to awaken, to nature aligned.
Today is Ana Cecilia’s day,
A warm embrace I send her way.
In my mind, she sits with me here,
Basking in sunrise, our souls sincere.
Oralia, my mother, softly proclaims,
«Happy birthday, my daughter,» she names.
The sun, the birds, the whispering trees,
Join in a song that sails on the breeze.
