Balance to accept different opinions
In the Netherlands the country is getting divided by different perceptions around a children’s tradition.
For some is a kids celebration, a beautiful tradition for many years. And for others is racism. To the point that is being discussed at the government level.
Perceptions and cultural differences can destroy the best intentions.
Today, I also encounter something similar in a small group. Even when, I thought everyone thinks similar. The differences of thoughts and perceptions can create big misunderstandings.
I love this proverb 20:6
» Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find.»
Perceptions and cultural diversity is a subject that needs everyone’s attention.
Open communication is the basic for understanding and moving forward to welcome our differences.
